Tracy’s Story
1977
Born in St. Louis, Missouri.
1979
Rode the black stallion, Cass Ole, from the movie The Black Stallion.
1979
Baptized in a video store called Captain Video, by Captain Video.
1981
Discovered a love for drawing, and love for all the colors, in the 64 crayon box with the sharpener in the back.
1984
Went up in the Eiffel Tower for the first time; saw the Mona Lisa, walked through the gardens at Versailles.
1986
Was discovered at Saks Fifth Avenue and modeled on the runway at the Saks Fifth Avenue winter fashion shows.
1986
Toured Europe with my family, rode in a gondola in Venice, celebrated Oktoberfest in Munich, collected round stones on the beaches of Cannes, and carefully studied all the royal jewels in London.
1988
Repelled down a 144 foot cliff in Northern Minnesota.
1990
Visited Australia and New Zealand and drove a glass-bottom boat in the Great Barrier Reef.
1994
Took a ski trip with my family to Kitzbühel, Austria, fell in love with the Alps and spaetzle.
1994
Won my first art award in the Creve Coeur Art Show for a bronze-casted statue of a mermaid and merman.
1995
Graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School and decided that I wanted to be a Disney animator and went to the University of Central Florida on an academic scholarship.
1995
Drew caricatures at Six Flags over Mid-America.
1997
Spent the summer working at the Disney MGM studios on an internship, met six feature animators who graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design.
1998
Transferred to the Columbus College of Art and Design. Fell in love with videography and video editing.
1998
Studied drawing and painting with Parsons School of Design in Paris, the summer that they won the World Cup for soccer.
1998
Visited Florence, Italy and saw Michelangelo’s David, brought a sketchbook and drew him at different angles.
1999
Decided that I didn’t want to be a Disney animator anymore, and that a career in advertising would be a better fit since my brother and dad were already in the industry.
2000
Moved to Miami and studied Art Direction at the Miami Ad School.
2001
Won the Top Dog award for the most outstanding work in school for that semester.
2002
Graduated from the Miami Ad School and began to collect freelance clients in the real estate, fashion, and the music industry.
2003
Designed t-shirts for Mr. Chips Clothing. Created the “Pope is Dope” shirt for Urban Outfitters.
2004
Began working for Isaco International creating textile designs for menswear.
2007
Attended the Papi Fashion show during Fashion Week and saw my illustrations for the first time on the catwalk.
2008
Video-taped and edited behind-the-scenes video for Papi fashion shoot, met Vinci from reality show 8th and Ocean.
2009
Collaborated on a design for the cover of a documentary that was nominated for the Latin Grammys.
2010
Started my own fashion line, FUR, to raise money for wildlife organizations.
2011
Began designing little girl’s fashion shoes at Elan Polo.
2011
Picked up the bass guitar and played my first gig three days later, with the Irish Xiles, an otherwise all-Irish band.
2011
Started a company with my mom, designing placemats, napkins and other home accessories.
